I ‘Learnded’ this Weekend

This past weekend was much needed. Getting away from the St. Louis area was soooo nice. I really feel blessed that I am welcomed into such a sweet and kind family. I’ve grown up without a dad and it’s nice to know that either next year or the one after, I will have a dad. That’s pretty cool. I mean, honestly I kind of already have one. Doug’s dad is a very sweet hearted man. I see where Doug gets his laid back and easy going personality from. I really can’t ever get a rise out of either of them and they go along with the flow like there really is no other way. If you’re blessed enough to have males or even females in your life that just go with the flow, make sure they know how much you appreciate them. I had an ex that was horrible and didn’t like to do anything other than what he wanted. Now, being with Doug life is just easy. It makes sense.

While I was in KC, I saw this Pin on Pinterest about a coffee rack thing made out of a pallet and had the inkling to want to make it. I told both Doug and Duane that and the next thing I know, we’re on our way to Sutherlands to go buy a pallet and some hooks.

I mean, I wanted to like help some but they took it over and just built the thing. All they let me do was sand. I think they both really enjoyed building it. It’s not 100% complete (I’m going to paint some wording on it — something like “Just a Dash”- ya know, because I’m cheesy like that and I’m representin me and Doug… Doug and Ashley — Dash–) Feel free to roll your eyes from my cheesiness. I know I know… It’s all I could come up with.

Almost finished shelf
Not all the way done yet. But close 🙂 Still needs hooks on the bottom two shelves to hold some coffee mugs.

So, while they did that, I was able to coach myself on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I was supposed to have a class this evening for Baby Boomers and I think I did something wrong. I tried to use our FaceBook business site to set up the meeting and I tried to advertise the class. After I advertised the class, I got a message saying that the class was “boosted” and then I got another email that said the class was removed. I was really confused on what the deal was. I’m thinking there is something strange when you have a business page and you try to advertise. Who knows. BUT, I will reschedule the class to early next week.

Anywho, all in all I am very grateful (yea I’ve kinda posted this before) for the peeps in my life. I’m also grateful for the extra income from Young Living. I was able to pay off an $800.00 bill this month just from that check alone. Pretty awesome. I’ve also added 6 new people this month and am set to have another 2 this week. That’s pretty cool. I know that will yield Doug some extra cash and also his mom some extra cash. I mean, his products will be covered this month that he bought and so will his mom’s. Now just to make it to where both of them are having an extra income like I am and to also build my momma up. I’m tellin you guys, right now is the time to join my team. I’m not stopping until I reach the top, so jump on this ship with me!!

I’m not perfect yet with the whole Adobe stuff, but here’s an example of one of my slides I was going to present on tonight.

I’m pretty proud of it, considering my last stuff was on PowerPoint and looked like crap.

Good night to those of you who started following and liking my blogs!!! You’re an inspiration for me to keep on posting! Drop me a note if you’d like to connect! I love hearing people’s stories!!
